These are a few of my favorite things:

SO MUCH SNOW

After an absolutely epic snow year, I gave McKenzie and Hannah a call to let them know we had a LOT more snow than we typically had in April. I wasn’t sure they quite believed me, so I sent them videos of 15 foot tall walls of snow surrounding the lodge. The mountain view they were hoping for their ceremony on The Black Diamond Lodge back patio was no longer visible, and we knew we would have to pivot. While searching the property for a new ceremony site, they asked if the parking lot could be an option! Before we knew it, the parking lot was transformed with a greenery install on the snowbank and rugs lining the aisle.

PRIVATE FIRST DANCES

Hannah and McKenzie opted to skip the audience and sneak away for some private first dance moments. They retreated to the secluded back patio under the string lights and shared special moments with each other and the people most important to them.

MILK AND COOKIES

Around 9pm, we brought out fresh baked cookies and boxes of plain and chocolate milk for guests to enjoy a late night sweet treat. Even those who wouldn’t usually go for the dessert table, couldn’t help but indulge in this childhood favorite treat. It was such a unique addition to the celebration.
