Dessert

It’s your wedding day, do what you want! If you’re anything like me, that means eating a lot of sweets! You can splurge on a three-tiered cake, call up your favorite ice cream cart, get your grandma’s secret recipe, or do espresso martinis. If you’re somewhere in between (or already know exactly what you want) we’ve got some tips and tricks for you to think about to make sure your wedding day is as sweet as possible! See what we did there ;)

  1. Cutting the cake

First, and foremost, do you want to do the classic cake cutting? It doesn’t have to be cake, but do you want pictures of you serving the dessert to your new spouse? Or do you not care? Or do you want to do it privately, without your cousins starring at you? All of these are valid options, but definitely something to think about.

  2. We’ve got options

Maybe you’re not a cake person. Some other fun options are ice cream, gelato, brownies, cookies, cupcakes, lemon bars, pastries, donuts, and so on. Who said dessert has to be just cake? Heck, you can have a whole dessert table (which is our favorite) because then guests can pick and choose what they like best. Plus, these don’t have to be professionally baked. Make a quick run to Costo and grab your favorite Litte Debbies.’s. Or if you have a couple of days with your family before hand get everyone to make their signature sweet and bring it so your college roommate can finally try your aunt’s famous cinnamon rolls you were always raving about.

  3. Food sensitivities

We can’t forget about our friends with sensitive stomachs. This is definitely one plus for doing an array of desserts instead of just cake. You can have ice cream for the gluten-free friend and a donut for the dairy-sensitive uncle and maybe even some fruit to fill in the gaps if someone wants something refreshing after all of that dancing.
