These are a few of my favorite things:

Sweet and Funny Vows

Vows are so important, which makes them so daunting. You want to be able to share all of your feelings and promises with your person, but often it’s in front of lots of friends and family on the biggest day of your life that you’ve been dreaming of forever. All this to say, when it comes to the vows it can be hard to feel like you’ve encompassed all you wish to. However, this couple nailed them. They were perfectly intentional, sweet, tear worthy, and funny, silly, and memorable. The guests…and vendors were both frowning and times and laughing at others. It is always such a privilege to be a part of these moments, and getting to know their story on a deeper level is so special.

Intimate table layout

Micro-weddings are coming in hot in the industry right now. Especially with destination weddings and an over all shift in weddings in general. This wedding was 50 people (So just at the micro wedding cut off) and an absolutely perfect fit for the space. The ceremony was at a rugged mountain location, meaning less people to move was a plus, and the reception was in the courtyard of The Wyman. You can have more than 50 guests at this venue but this count allowed for the couple to play around with the seating layout and choose one that continued the intimate micro wedding feel. They had us place the tables in a U-shape (with them at the top middle of course) which allowed for a continuous feel. This meant that it truly felt like everyone was at the same table and getting to converse. It also meant a seamless tablescape of their decor. All night there were comments about how beautiful the layout was and I couldn’t agree more.

Cake? no, CheesEcake!

Some of the coordinators on our team (and most moms of the bride) would say you have to have cake at your wedding. But really we say “whatever you guys want” and this couple did just that. Instead of the traditional cake moment, they had a cheesecake bar and did a cheesecake cutting moment. First of all…delicious. Second of all, it was just one of the ways that our couples chose to add a unique moment to their day, which we are always on board for!
