Pre-Ceremony Cocktail Hour

The couple decided to host cocktail hour before the ceremony to welcome guests in a fun a casual way. It was a great way to immediately kick off the party with drinks, live piano music, and a cute meet and great with the couple.

Here’s what the couple had to say:

A New Way to Get the to Ceremony

Typically at The Black Diamond Lodge the bride and bridesmaids are shuttled up the ceremony site last and come from around back so they aren't seen. Since Aly and EJ spent the cocktail hour greeting their guests she didn't want to create a rigid feeling for the ceremony, so they decided to walk to the ceremony site with their bridal party. It created a really beautiful relaxed feel as guests watched the procession come up the hill to join them.

Live Music for the Dance Party

Aly and EJ had the Mojo Birds come and play for their reception and it was SO MUCH FUN. They had a great vibe and held the energy so well! The dance floor stayed packed with their groovy tunes and we knew if was exactly what Aly and EJ were wanting for their dance party.
