These are a few of my favorite things:

Canoe Entrance, Soup Served In Pumpkins, Fire Logs

Where do you even start with this wedding? Gunther and Archana's self labelled Cowboys and Indian wedding fused Western America Ranch culture with Archana's Indian heritage. Every element throughout the day was meant to honor both family's traditions and share them with their guests who travelled from all over the globe to be a part of the special day.

A few of my favorite elements included:

Archana's bridal entrance via canoe around "wedding island" to Indian music
The family catered the entire multi course wedding feast with meat, veggies, chutneys and sauces all sourced or grown locally. The homemade pumpkin soup was even served in hand-grown pumpkins that were carved out just for this purpose!
Gunther handcrafted giant standing fire logs that surrounded their dance floor into the night allowing their guests to pop jiffy pop, roast sausages, craft s’mores and stay warm while the dancing went late into the night.
The couple created a cookbook with their own personal, and their family's family recipes as a thank you favor for their guests. For a family deeply rooted in tradition, gardening and homesteading, it felt like such a genuine touch!

The Latest In A Long Line Of Family WeddingS

We've had the absolute privilege of coordinating two other family weddings and so it was such a joy to celebrate again, in a new season, with the same family. It's always such an honor when our couples'' friends and family book with us! It's the biggest complement!

Stretching Our Coordination Team

Private Property weddings come with their own set of challenge and a celebration of this magnitude and scale only comes along every few years. We had the A team assigned to this wedding and it took everything we had to make sure the ceremony timing happened right on schedule, alongside a very elaborate 150 person DIY decor set up. I've never been so grateful to have a team of experienced coordinators who not only know how to make an event run smoothly (fire extinguishers and extra serving bowls, anyone?), but also care deeply about the couple and their guests' experience.
