Kylie + Mitch @ The Black Diamond Lodge
WHAT: A Vibrant Day for “I Do”
WHEN: August 16, 2025
WHERE: The Black Diamond Lodge
COORDINATORS: Lexi, Stella, Josh, Ben
VIBES: Bright, Relaxed, Party
These are a few of my favorite things:
Here’s what the couple had to say:
The Perfect Day Company truly lived up to their name. From the moment we checked in on Thursday until we checked out on Sunday, everything was seamless. Lexi, Stella, Josh, Ben, and Mason (and I'm sure some behind the scenes people leading up to the weekend!) were incredibly organized, responsive, and thoughtful in how they coordinated with us, our guests, and all our vendors. Any questions or texts were answered right away, which gave us so much peace of mind.
On the wedding day itself, I got to do something I didn’t think was possible as a bride—I wandered around the lodge, connected with family and friends, and felt completely relaxed. No guests had to stress or pitch in behind the scenes because PDC had absolutely everything covered. They made it possible for us to be present and enjoy the weekend instead of worrying about logistics.
I would absolutely recommend Perfect Day Company to anyone planning a wedding—and if you’re chatting with me in person, I might require that you hire them before I let the conversation end!!!
PINK, PINK, PINK
Kylie had the prettiest color palette (I’m biased, though, because I love pink). Thoughtful pinks in the flowers, bridesmaids’ dresses, and groomsmen’s ties. It was clear pink was the main color, but it was so thoughtfully done and tied in everything so nicely. She kept the napkins and the runners on the table white, so it made the flowers give a nice subtle pop.
Win the Whiskey Bottle
Kylie came up with the most fun cocktail hour game EVER! She made this super fun game card that had crosswords and fill-in-the-blank questions so the guests could tally up numbers to try and guess the code to unlock a whiskey bottle from a cage. The guests had to work together to figure out the answers because no one knew them all. Grandmas were talking to college friends, and childhood besties were talking to brand new neighbors. It was so fun to see everyone mingling and working together to get the code.
Hand fasting
Both Kylie and Mitch have Celtic backgrounds, so it was really sweet to see them draw on their heritage and perform a Celtic handfasting ceremony during their wedding ceremony. The braid had blue and green cords representing the water and land, showing the harmony they were joining in by vowing themselves to their partner. It was so sweet, and it is so cool that they have that sentimental piece to hang on to for the rest of their life.
