These are a few of my favorite things:

From an Empty Field to a Full-On Wedding

Kady and Reed started with a private property in Silverton and a vision. No venue package. No built-in anything. Just open land and a whole lot of intention. Everything was brought in including the tent, tables, restrooms, an arbor, chairs, yard games, catering supplies, campfire supplies and even a raft for photos. Helping it all come together felt a little like building a tiny village for the weekend. There’s something really special about starting with nothing and turning it into a space that holds this much joy.

The Kind of Friends Who Show Up

You could tell immediately how loved these two are. Their friends didn’t just attend, they made it happen. Catering handled by people who know them well. Photography by someone who understands their story. A band that absolutely brought the energy. A thoughtfully set-up bridal tent. So many hands involved behind the scenes. It felt less like “vendors” and more like community. And when Kady and Reed walked back down the aisle, their friends created a tunnel of cheers and raised arms for them to run through. It was loud, joyful and so much fun!

A Whole Weekend, Not Just a Wedding

A lot of guests camped on site, which turned the celebration into a full weekend experience. Campfires burned late. Jello shots made their rounds. Music carried into the night. No one was in a hurry and it felt like summer camp for grown-ups, in the best way. Silverton has a way of encouraging that. You’re tucked into the mountains, surrounded by your people, and the only thing on the schedule is being together.

The Details That Felt Like Them

Rafting is a big part of Kady and Reed’s story, so of course they climbed into a raft for photos. It wasn’t staged for aesthetic, it was part of who they are. Their dog was there all day, weaving between guests like he owned the place. Nothing about this wedding felt overly produced. It felt personal and honest, like group of people who really love each other building something meaningful together for a weekend in Silverton. Those are always the best kind of wedding.
