These are a few of my favorite things:

CONTRA DANCING COCKTAIL HOUR

These two didn’t just like contra dancing—they built a whole moment around it. Instead of the usual cocktail hour mingling, they turned the lobby into a full-on dance floor, complete with a live caller guiding guests through the steps. Seasoned dancers jumped right in, while first-timers awkwardly joined in, feeling like pros by the end. There was no standing around waiting for dinner at this wedding, the contra dancing kicked the party off nice and early.

PICK YOUR PLATE

In true treasure-hunter fashion, the bride spent months curating a collection of over 250 mismatched dinner and dessert plates, each one thrifted, hunted down, and chosen with care. The tables felt like a perfectly curated patchwork: florals, vintage prints, gorgeous colors, all mixed and matched to create a unique and cosy tablescape. As toasts rolled around, the couple announced to guests that their plate wasn’t just for dinner—it was theirs to keep.

LONG TIME LOVE

These two go way back, like, fifth grade classroom back. Same classroom with moms who were already friends long before they realized what their future would hold. What started as childhood familiarity grew into something deeper over time. Drew and Eric’s moms shared the story over a joint toast, complete with photo proof–their 5th grade class picture and yearbook.
