These are a few of my favorite things:

THREE SEASONS OF PDC COUPLES

By far, my favorite thing about the day was realizing that I had coordinated the wedding of two friends in attendance at the party. They had their kiddos there and it was so very special to see how their love story has continued and thrived in SUCH a fun community of friends.

MOUNTAIN CEREMONY WITH BIG MOUNTAIN VIEWS

Alyson and Erich signed their marriage license on a YETI cooler in the middle of the mountains. And had ring bearers dressed as little tiny bears. That’s just about all you need to know!! The big Colorado views at this tucked away spot in Silverton, Colorado were jawdropping. I may or may not have arrived an hour early to eat lunch and take a quick nap in the back of my truck. 10/10 weather day and Ponderosa Portraits captured it all perfectly, per usual.

THESE TWO DID NOT SETTLE

Alyson and Eric had their venue cancel their date hold several months into planning. This forced them to reconsider the type of wedding they really wanted. It was so stressful and they had to drastically cut their guest count. On the day of, it truly felt like this was how the day was supposed to be all along. They ended up with a mountain top ceremony and then travelled to Eolus in downtown Durango for a rooftop reception. The flow felt really easy and the backup plan ended up being the better plan.

DINNER PARTY FOR THE AGES
Dinner at Eolus is an experience. The food comes out beautifully plated in several courses. The food is locally sourced, seasonal and full of flavor! I promise the guests were still talking about this food weeks later. The custom signage for their table numbers and menus featured their dogs added personality without trying too hard. They also had guests sign a record for their guest book.

A DINNER ANNOUNCEMENT NO ONE SAW COMING
Best announcement ever!! Alyson and Erich shared their pregnancy announcement during dinner! The moment added a second layer of celebration to a day that already felt full, and it brought everyone together. They have the most genuine group of friends.
