Elizabeth + Layton @ The Black DIAmond LOdge

WHAT: Effortless celebration on a golden fall afternoon

WHEN:  October 2021

WHERE: The Black Diamond Lodge

COORDINATORS: Amber

VIBES: all golden hour meets a really good party

These are a few of my favorite things:

FALL FLORAL MOMENT, BUT MAKE IT ARCHITECTURE

These floral pillars by Mountain Belle Flower Farm did not come to play. The design stacked color, texture, and movement in a way that felt wild and intentional at the same time. The warm tones pulled straight from the aspens around them, and the shape framed the ceremony without blocking any of that insane mountain backdrop. The whole setup felt like it grew there naturally, which is always the goal. Local flowers are the best!!

THE ASPENS SHOWED OFF

The ceremony site at Black Diamond Lodge already does a lot, and then fall showed up and decided to outdo itself. The bright yellow leaves lit up the entire space and made every photo feel like it had its own built-in filter. The aisle, the portraits, the ceremony… everything felt vibrant without needing anything extra layered on top.

BUBBLES > RICE (ALWAYS)

Elizabeth and Layton walked back down the aisle through a full tunnel of bubbles, and it felt exactly as fun as it sounds. The light caught them perfectly, guests got involved, and the whole exit felt playful without trying too hard. One of my favorite ceremony exits!

CONFETTI + LITTLE DETAILS THAT LAND

The dance floor confetti (a Black Diamond Lodge signature move) brought the energy all the way up, and it felt like the official kickoff into party mode. At the same time, quieter details like the handwritten-style thank you notes on each place setting gave the day a more personal layer. Guests felt thought of from the second they sat down, which is one of those small touches that actually makes a big impact.
