These are a few of my favorite things:
Puppy Paw Prints
One of the sweetest details of this wedding was the couple’s decision to include their beloved dogs, Rooster and Wylie, in the celebration. Each pup had an important role to play. One served as the “ring bearer,” while the other was the “flower dog.” Together, they made their way down the aisle before settling into the front row to watch their mom and dad say “I do.”
And their official wedding duties didn’t end there! After the ceremony, Rooster and Wylie became the couple’s very own wedding witnesses, adding their paw prints to the marriage license to officially “sign” the document. Including their dogs in such meaningful moments made the celebration feel even more personal and true to the couple.
Intentional Details
Another favorite part of this wedding was how intentional every detail felt. The ceremony featured a beautiful cross that the groom built himself, while cocktail hour included signature Old Fashioned and Hugo Spritzes with monogrammed stirrers, a wine charm-making station, and temporary tattoos.
At dinner, each guest found a personalized envelope with a handwritten note from the couple at their place setting. It was a thoughtful touch that made everyone feel especially appreciated. There was not a dry eye in the room! Even the traditional cake cutting got a personal twist, with the couple choosing to blow out the candles on their cake together instead.
One of the sweetest details was a shelf of photos honoring the people in their lives who had gotten married before them, including their vendors (so cute!)! It was such a meaningful way to celebrate the marriages and relationships that helped shape their lives.
Then it was time to party! A black-and-white dance floor, disco ball, and handmade tambourines featuring the couple’s new last name brought the celebration to life. Guests could grab a tambourine and make some noise as they celebrated the newlyweds—a joyful, personal, and unforgettable way to end the night.
Mechanical. Bull. Thats All!
And last, but certainly not least, the mechanical bull! Because what wedding is complete without one? The bride, groom, both fathers, and plenty of their guests took a turn riding! The mechanical bull was the perfect addition to the celebration, giving everyone a chance to let loose, show off their skills, and create some unforgettable memories.
It was unexpected, entertaining, and completely on brand for a couple who clearly wanted their wedding day to be a true reflection of who they are. What better way to end the night than watching friends and family hold on for dear life, cheer each other on, and laugh together?
