VIBES: Winter, lights, intentional, outdoorsy
These are a few of my favorite things:
Morning together:
We often ask our couples their morning plans ahead of time so we can know their priorities for that part of the day. Often they choose to sleep, have a slow morning, and get ready separately. Sometimes we get couples who want to see each other for a few moments in the morning. However, Carly and Chris spent almost the entire morning together. They started with a slow morning coffee date looking out at the mountains just the two of them. This gave them time to chat, work off any nerves, and be intentional. Once the coffee kicked in they headed out for a snowy hike to take in the day and the outdoors. Their photographer followed to get some photos of this moment. I think it was such a special time together before the getting ready period where they could really be with each other and not feel overwhelmed.
Here’s what the couple had to say:
“Stella, Amber, and the entire team were incredible throughout the entire process. They were always available to chat, very responsive, and encouraging. The day of the wedding, they were practically telepathic: they were there before I even knew I needed them. They handled everything, and I didn't have to think about a thing. From getting me literally down the aisle, to getting us a table to sign our marriage license (didn't even think of this!), to impeccable clean up (so tidy!!), they could not have been more amazing.”
Colorful decor:
I feel like in winter the decor often is your classic colors and vibes which is gorgeous of course. However this couple went all in on colors and unique decor. They hade blues, purples, greens, and oranges and it just worked! They also made triangles to be “mountains” out of wood and we hung little gondolas that had fairy lights in them in the “mountains.” The couples place at the table was marked by a neon snowflake hanging behind them. It was the perfect balance of winter chic and colors sprinkled in.
“Just Married” Sign:
Your classic getaway car and the decor that comes along with it is often not a part of your day anymore. Carly and Chris may not have had a getaway car but they did have the classic “Just Married” sign that they used at their reception and took photos with by their arbor. I think it was such a sweet memory and a way to keep the traditional wedding moments in your day!
