These are a few of my favorite things:

Adventure-oriented

Kaileen + Carl designed their day around who they are as a couple - both people who enjoy being outside and getting their hearts pumping! They started their wedding day off with a 5K that they had mapped out on Strava for all of their guests, which took them on an adventure around the roads of The Black Diamond Lodge. Then, they moved into a yoga flow in the lobby! It was beautiful to see how they shared these priorities with their guests to start the day off in a healthy way - mind and body!

Dancing through the hail storm

Not many couples are excited when rain moves in on their wedding day…let alone a large hail storm! Kaileen was an absolute champion as our staff worked quickly to get the lobby of The Black Diamond Lodge set up for a beautiful last-minute ceremony. While guests quickly trudged down from the meadow, Kaileen was found dancing and celebrating with her close family and her bridesmaids downstairs. Her celebration-oriented attitude truly reflected the depth of this couple's love. It was clear that getting married to each other was the most important thing about the day.

The dance floor + dessert are OPEN

The last part of the evening truly embodied the word “party”! Kaileen and Carl chose to have a dessert bar with options for everyone's liking, including: macaroons, tiramisu jars, and a small cake. Dessert kicked off the party and it continued with a special first dance. Kaileen and Carl,so clearly in love, danced to the first verse and chorus, then invited guests to join them for the rest of the song. This fun and unique invitation launched one of the most epic dance parties our team has ever seen…confetti, a tassel clothing change from the bride…and all!
