WHAT: A Celebration for the Two of Us

These are a few of my favorite things:

The Venue

Hidden in the picturesque La Sal mountains of Moab is Whispering Oaks Ranch. Guests stayed in one of the seven cabins or in the lodge that sleeps 24. The 50-acre property allowed everyone to spread out and have some privacy. The views were never-ending, with stunning red rock formations as a backdrop and three wedding sites to choose from.

The Reception/Music

The large on-site Pavilion hosted the reception of 100 guests. The music was everything for the couple. Each song played was handpicked by the groom, who had previously worked for the DJ company that performed at the reception. Once the music started, it was dance...dance...dance! In fact, it outlasted the reception, continuing at the afterparty held at the large lodge, into the wee hours of the morning. The day ended perfectly for this fun couple.

A little bit of whimsy

The decor was minimal yet elegant, featuring stunning flowers in bud vases and candles dotting the tables. A detail we loved was the mizmatch place settings. They rented water goblets in transparent pink, blue, and green, and then used mismatched china, which created a little bit of whimsy. The napkins were also in various shades of ivory, which tied it all together in a beautiful, elegant, but relaxed feel.
